What is Skilled Select?

How does SkillSelect work?

Therefore, the visa processing is done on the levels of priority. A state and territory government or an employer can send you an invitation after tracking and nominating you for skilled visa. Once you receive the invitation you have sixty days to submit a valid online visa application.

What is an Expression of Interest?

An application that is formulated to indicate that you would like to be considered for grant of a visa is referred to as EOI or an Expression of Interest. To qualify for a SkillSelect visa how many points do I require?

You would need a minimum of 60 points to receive an invitation for the skilled points tested visas and a minimum of 65 points for the business skills points tested visas.

What the time frame for receiving an invitation?

Automated invitation rounds are carried out twice a month for Skilled Migration visas. Professionals with the point score of sixty or grater have received invitations in two weeks. If the minimum score is reduced or if the government received a high number of Expression of Interest or EOI the time period for the invitation might change. You would receive an invitation as soon as the nominator confirms the nomination in SkillSelect. This applicable if your have been nominated by the territory or state government.

Does it mean that I am rejected if I don’t get invited?

No. For a period of 2 years your invitation remains in the SkillSelect system. You possibly will receive an invitation at any time during this period.
